I received word this week that my photos and small articles published in Range Magazine’s “Portrait of the West” section over the past year was recently honored by the Nevada Press Association. Range Magazine, which is based out of Carson City, Nevada, has published several of my photos and articles over the past two years. My photos of cowboys and stories, along with those from five other writers and photographers won the “Best Regular Department” category. Above is a photo of the plaque that was awarded to Range Magazine.
One of the judges said, “I really enjoyed letting the photos speak and only included an limited amount of text with it. Nice job.”
overall Range Magazine won 17 awards (seven firsts, five second, and five thirds).
