You never really know when people will enjoy a photograph. As a professional photographer, of course, you better have a pretty good idea about what works and what doesn’t work, but in the end there are photos that elicit a positive response from people for reasons totally unexpected. Such was the case of the photo below.

This is a photograph of a heavily modified Chevrolet Biscayne used to pull a horse trailer on a ranch near Cleveland, Montana. Those who drive the dusty roads of Cleveland on a daily basis are probably familiar with this vehicle. Others? Not so much. Why I even photographed it I’m not sure, but it certainly is an oddity. Well, I posted it to my Facebook page and it was suddenly a hit. People loved it. They wanted to know more about it. And some even wanted it. This photo, which is not particularly great (though the subject matter is) was suddenly quite popular. Which just goes to show, you just never know. If it is odd looking and you’ve never seen it before, you’re probably better off photographing it.

I’m glad I did.
