Every year for the past six years I have entered my photography in the 11th Annual Cowboys & Indians Photo Contest. The premiere western magazine prides itself on featuring exemplary western photography and they dedicate one issue every year to those who submitted images for their contest.
The contest has five photo categories where they solicit photos of cowboy culture, photos native culture, photos of horses, and photos of wildlife. Three times I have been a runner up, but I’ve never won. The only category I don’t enter is the wildlife photography.
Above are my entries this year. All photos must be taken on or before January 1, 2013, so all four images are recent examples of my photos of Montana. And keep your fingers crossed. Maybe this is the year.
