Always enamored with signs—especially eye catching old ones—it seemed to make a lot of sense to photograph them.  I’m not sure if signs taught me much about photography, but they certainly catch my attention.

I guess that’s the whole idea.

Signs are such an analog method of communication in what has become a increasingly digital world. It’s a wonder how they even survive as a medium in today’s day and age. It’s a wonder people even pay attention to them. Then again, they may very well become one of the few truly analog forms of advertising to survive the digital revolution.

In this week’s edition of 20+ photos I have included some of my favorite photographs of signs. Some are old, some are new, and all I found striking in their own way.
