I thought a photograph of something red would be appropriate for Valentine’s Day. I found this one while driving north of Rudyard, Montana. It still alone on the prairie with an odd assembly of other weathered farm buildings, but I liked how this one looked isolated against the cloudy winter sky. Red barns aren’t nearly as common here as they are in the Midwest, but the few they have are a pleasure to photograph.
